Unable to register Mobile Data Sim after ONE MONTH of trying!

One month after receiving a data-only sim, and after countless chats and calls, I still cannot register this sim. The latest problem I have (and I have tried seven or eight times in the last two days) is this error message ..

Sorry, there seems to be a problem

We're working hard to fix the issue, so please try again later.: 494, FMW_30_0001 - [Error ref 1w0]

Question(s): What is the error? Is anyone really working hard to fix it?

Have customer services given any clear indication as to what's causing the issue @patmolloy 

Have you tried the Vodafone Social Media Team's via Contact-us-for-account-specific-queries  ?

I have had a number of different stories so far - but it seems like the account that was set up was "malformed" and needed to be deleted (which is a back-office operation). I *think* that has actually been done, as I can get further in the registration process now .. but get this new failure mode now. I have registered a formal complaint but will try the social media Team as well. Thanks for the help!
