2.4 GHZ Devices Not Working - Have Tried Everything Suggested - Should I Buy a New Router?

Probably the 10000th person who has asked about this on here, but anway...

As title post suggests, only 5 GHZ devices (mobiles, laptops, Xbox, TV, Alexa) all work fine.

Doorbell camera and blink cameras not detecting wifi as 2.4 GHZ devices.

I have tried EVERYTHING suggested here; Splitting channels etc etc etc for months on and off. Cannot at all be bothered with going through customer services.

Having read other people with same issue who only ended up getting it resolved by contacting customer services (who eventually just ended up sending them a new router), would I therefore just be best buying a new one off ebay or similar?

This issue is driving me up the wall and I cannot honestly be bothered to spend hours on the phone with customer services who will undoubtedly just tell me to repeat the SSID etc steps.

@rc2702

This can be a problem with older devices that cannot handle 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz having the same name.

If possible, disable the 5Ghz band, reboot the router and try to connect the troublesome devices again. If successful, re-enable 5Ghz. All should, hopefully, be ok after that.

Of course, you’ve probably already tried that, but that is all I can offer.
