Number port disaster

We requested a number port from a vodaphone number to a new corporate account, we set the phone up and the port was supposedly completed 3 weeks ago. Suddenly on New Year’s Eve the phone stopped working, we called vodaphone to be told it was a billing issue they’d failed to set up the DD properly, we resolved this. They said to wait an hour and switch the phone off and back on and all would be working. 5 hours later still no working phone, we call back and are told to wait 24hrs and repeat off on process. Today still nothing, we call to be told the port hasn't been completed and the PAC is now invalid. We’ve been using the number for 3 weeks no issues so it must have ported. They claim we must have been using a temporary number which is simply not true. The phone has been receiving calls and texts to the ported number. No one can resolve it they just keep saying we need a new PAC code. So now I have a customer stuck in Spain with no mobile phone and I’m also told we can’t do the repeat port remotely the phone has to be in the UK. The CEO with whom the phone belongs to is away on business out the  uk until February so will be without his number till then??? . Every time I call vodaphone I’m given a different  answer and they are so unhelpful. At a loss.
