Hi all, when I go abroad I am normally assigned a "uk-based" IP address regardless of my location in the world. Is this a normal behavior and does it happen consistently ? To be clear, I am happy for this to happen as it will avoid me using a VPN, but just wanted to double check it is definitely the case, Thanks

When you're roaming, you'll use the local coverage of the foreign network but your data traffic is routed through Vodafone's UK network so it'll apply worldwide. It'll also apply to all of our UK SIMs regardless of payment method 🙂

Hi @edom90 Thanks for your post. Yes, this is normal. As you're using a UK package overseas, you'd remain as a UK IP address. However if you use a VPN or WiFi, this would over-ride the UK one 👍

Thanks a lot
Does the above apply worldwide and for all Vodafone data services or just for pay monthly contracts ?
