Poor signal

I have a very poor phone signal. It may connect to a cell with 3 or 4 bars which quickly degenerate to 1 or 2 bars which then triggers a hand over to another cell. On connecting to the new cell it has 4 bars that again goes down to one in a few minutes triggering another hand over. It goes back and forth like that forever. If WiFi Calling is enabled then that be come on for less than a second as the hand over occurs.

The speed of data/4G is also shocking, so rubbish that there's no point buying any data transfer. The only way to maintain a stable connection is on 2G but the call quality is pitiful.

If I were to charging Vodafone per missed call might that help to focuss minds any? Lol Probably not but its incredibly frustrating!

Hi @Honestjohn0

I can well imagine how frustrating this must be for you.

May I ask a few questions and offer a few tips.

  1. Does this issue happen everywhere or in a particular area.
  2. As a process of elimination to rule out the phone or sim card which maybe the issue can you try your sim card in another phone and if possible try another sim card in your phone.
  3. Can you try resetting your network connection in your phone which is usually located in somewhere called General Management or similar, and then the Reset page.
  4. Can you go into settings and then something similar to connections and choose another network and then re choose Vodafone.

The Vodafone Social Media Team's can take a look at your area if you use the template in the following thread to copy and paste it back here.

The template is in > Network-issues-initial-checks-and-template.

I wish all the best.
