Query regarding maintenance

Hi, over the last few weeks in my area there has been maintenance happening on a lot of local masts usually the hours of 10pm - 6am the next day. Just interested in what these upgrades are? Post code is NG16 3DG.

Hi @dapax After taking a closer look, it seems our network team are running some trials to optimise network performance in the area. It's unlikely you will see any issues with your service, but please let us know if you do.

Sounds like these are trials of different parameters for how the various 2G/4G/5G layers behave together - in basic terms.

Tests such as these are very much BAU for all operators, but are generally done in small clusters of sites which cover a specific locality.
