Hi, I have 2 mobiles on Vodafone, both are Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, one for me and one for my wife. They are not a year old yet, The one I use has, really, not been a problem but my wifes one has had irritating little niggles since day one that we are told cannot be found. Now, her handset keeps dropping off the network (disconnecting) and then after a while re-connecting. Then dropping off and carrying on like this all day. It has been doing this on and off since Sunday, but yesterday and today it is continuous. Have spoken to Vodafone who cannot find a problem with the settings etc. and there is no fault record on their map for SG19, our post code. Having gone onto facebook, it appears we are not alonr in suffering this problem. Obviously, there is a fault on the system but has aanybody got any idea what it is, when it will be fixed, or any information at all please?

Hi  Amanda,

Since I switched on the WiFi calling on her handset it has been working OK, with no disconnections. When we walked our dogs yesterday evening  between 16:00 and 17:00 we actually go past the mast they have been working on, and there was no work going on. So, I don't know if they have finished, as they were usually there at that time.

Thanks for getting back to me @Grizwold - I've just checked again and it all looks good still.

Please keep me updated and if anything changes just let us know  👍

Hi Amanda,

They are still working on the mast  but in the cabin below  which is why we couldn't see them. They are, apparently, upgrading to 5G. Both the O2 and Vodafone. Should be finished today. Don't know if you can check that bit of info. out.

Hi @Grizwold, we've checked your local area and the original work was scheduled from 7 - 11 March 2022. The network teams working on the mast needed additional time to complete the work, this is due to be completed by 8pm today, 16 March 2022. From the information that we've got, it looks like the work is to upgrade the 4G service in the area.

Hi,

This is what we have been telling, and querying, with Vodafone from the outset of our problems. Thing is, they didn't appear to know what was going on  and thanked us for telling them! They seem to be capable of texting us with all sorts of things, why not this?

We're always looking for ways to improve the products and services that we offer, by our customers reporting network issues, this will allow our team to investigate and put fixes in place where needed. We've introduced a new reporting tool here, the information provided will go straight to our network teams and we update the Network Status Checker as frequently as possible. In your area, if everything goes to plan, we're hoping that you start to see an improvement once the work has been completed today.

Hi

That's fine, we'll hopefully see things improve. Having switched my wife's phone onto WiFi calling it is going perfectly. If there is a new reporting tool, has it been widely circulated to users? I've never heard of it, which is why we were struggling.
