I have been asking for about 2 years. Can you tell me if you are ever going to repair the mast at DA1 4DR. I have virtually no signal and have been told on many occasions that the repair was going to be carried out soon. I had a broadband outage a couple of months ago caused by roadworks and with no WiFi calling or landline I was forced to make calls from the bottom of my garden.

I have received a PM from Vodafone Support asking for my number to discuss the problem. Not looking closely at it I sent the number. I got a call back and he obviously new nothing about the fault and was asking me for my details. As he was speaking I looked closely at the message and it originated from "Grouchydoo" and not as I thought Vodafone Support. Luckily the penny dropped before he got more than my number. The number he rang from, if genuine, was 07060639221. Was this a scammer? His profile shows nothing.

I just hope this isn't the norm for this forum. It would be a good idea if security is tightened. I nearly got caught I am sure I am not alone. I hope you have removed "Grouchydoo" and maybe a bit more security on new members. I have reported it to the Vodafone scam line and had my passwords and other security numbers and questions changed, also my account has been flagged. As regards to who is calling, a good scammer will display a false number easily. Even I know how to do that quite cheaply.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention @dhinxman - We'd advise to be mindful if you ever receive a message, from a user that isn't showing as Vodafone and to not provide any personal details. Some of our Community users do chat privately, which is why this function is available for users to Private Message each other.
