Terrible signal

Cherry684
4: Newbie

Ive been a Vodafone customer for over 18 years and I’ve lived in the address.

The signal for every Vodafone user  for network and 4G in my property is terrible but the coverage checker states it should be strong with 4G and network should be strong.

Hi @Cherry684

In order for the Vodafone Social Media Teams to help by passing your information to their networking team can you please use the following template and add your answers.

Network-issues-initial-checks-and-template.

May I also assure signal becomes fine in other places you visit ?

Current Phone  >

Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512gb.

1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?

The signal is poor in all indoor areas in the town I live it.

We used to have strong signal three to four bars bars but now only have one.

2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on the Community, add it to your profile here.

post code on profile

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?

Yes

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?

One bar of mobile signal and slow internet, fluctuating between 3G and 4G

5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?

All indoors

6) When did you first notice this issue?

It started intermittently over the past fortnight but got more noticeable over this week.

7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?

Permanent indoors

Signal works fine when I travel to other areas

Hi @Cherry684! I've taken a look at the postcode you provided and the coverage is good indoors and outdoors across 2G, 3G, and 4G. There is no 5G coverage in your area at the moment.  I've also taken a look at the specific mast you connect to (No. 4547) and there is no downtime or maintenance at the moment. You're able to check any maintenance in your postcode at any time by entering it into our Network Status Checker. Please perform a speed test and post the results in the thread so we can compare this to the speeds expected in the area

In the meantime, if you've got a Wi-Fi connection at home, you can use Wi-Fi calling and texting to keep in contact with people. Please click here to view our Device Guides to get this set up
