Unable to receive incoming telephone calls when on holiday in Spain

my iPhone X will not accept incoming telephone calls when I am in Spain connected to Vodafone es instead they go straight to voicemail. All other functions work as they should.
In  UK ( my home Country) when on Vodafone uk  there is no such problem.

I have checked phone settings but there is nothing obvious to cause such a problem.

I now spend quite a bit of time each year in Spain  and it is essential I can make and receive telephone calls. Unless this problem can be resolved  as I see it my only way forward will be to move to another provider.

@Tvbushell - thanks for the tests you've already done. I'd like us to check your account and number on the network side of things, to make sure there aren't any bars in place.

Please message us on Social Media. When you do this, please let us know if it's ok for outgoing calls and if you've been able to receive calls through well known apps, such as Whatsapp when in Spain. Please also confirm what your signal is like in the area you're in in Spain.
