Hi everybody
Have you noticed that other people seem to have more badges than you do? That some people’s profiles are full of many different awards while you only have a couple visible to you? If you have, this likely means that you have not earned the Welcome to the community badge.
This badge is awarded to those people who’ve completed the first basic steps in using the community. As well as getting the badge, we also recognise your progress by unlocking every other badge for you as well.
So how do you get the Welcome to the community badge? Simply earn 5 of our early starter badges. These are:
Author
To earn this badge you need to start your own topic. This can be anywhere in the community and about any relevant topic. As soon as the thread has been created you’ll be awarded this badge.
Communicator
Getting this badge is simple; all you need to do is reply to another post or topic. It only needs to be done once and as soon as you’ve completed posting this badge will be yours.
Thank you
See a post that has helped you then click the thanks button. This’ll not only allow the poster to know that they have helped someone, but also earn you the thank you badge.
Thumbs up
To earn this badge you have to have another member of the community “thank” one of your posts. So make sure your posts are helpful and friendly and this badge will be yours in no time.
Completed profile
This is the badge that you are probably missing. To get it, all you need to do is complete 5 fields in of your profile. These are:
Once you’ve entered information for all of these then the badge will be yours. Please note that while First name and Biography are public, the other information can only be seen by Vodafone Staff. We ask for this information so that we can help out quicker in the event that you have a query for us.
So there you have it, once you have these 5 badges you’ll automatically earn the Welcome to the community badge. That also means you’ve now unlocked all of the other badges and can get to work earning them all.
If you’ve any questions about badges or have any suggestions for ones in the future, then why not let us know in the comments below.
