No idea where to post this, but what has happened to the forum layout?

I can't find out where the new posts are, it's impossible to find my way around.

Is everyone one having the same problem, or is it just me?

@Jayach Oh great! We're all finding our feet with the new layout, but I'm glad you're getting to grips with it.

If you need any help with the way it works, please let me know.

Has anyone noticed that in each sub-section the first post (and occasionally the second) is never a recent one but can be one from years back - very odd!

@CrimsonLiar  Yes, it's sorted in conversation order and not chronological order. It's very annoying.

As an inexperienced member of this forum finding my way around my own posts is turning into a nightmare. Every time I am notified that someone has responded to a post I visit the

@ojos  Thy this,

My Settings > Preferences > Display : Format for displaying postds = Linear Format
My Settings > Preferences > Display : Display dates as = Use default (Absolute dates)
My Settings > Preferences > Linear Layout : Linear Format = Use default (Oldest first)
My Settings > Preferences > Linear Layout : Forum Q&A default thread filter = Use default
My Settings > Preferences > Linear Layout : Forum Q&A default thread sort = Use default

Thanks. I wish the designers of this forum had made it clearer to new member of this strange default way of displaying discussions and how to change it into something that looks more sensible to many of us.

The regulars on here all seem to have pretty much gotten their displays sorted, but the defaults seem odd!  I seriously doubt that any end-user testing took place before the implementation.
