Hi all,

Was thinking of jumping ship and trying another phone provider. Have been with Vodafone since 2008 and have started to feel that Vodafone are not what there used to be. (191 customer service really disappointing). Was just wondering what your thoughts are on with the phone providers out there and are telephone customer service lacking now and likes of web chat and forums now?????

If you really want to find out the truth then you need to check other provider's Forums.

Important things for me when picking a network is in this order,

1. Coverage in places I spent my time most

2. Cost (with handset)

3. Customer Service.

Once you have decided on 1. then for the First Contract shop around. When it comes to renewal after the Contract ends then negotiate with the Network as they will try and retain you as customer.

Have registered on a few forums tonight for that reason. Have just been so used to renewing my contract, but have spoke to 191 customer service a couple of times within the last month and was left not impressed . I'm not expecting the red carpet treatment but expected a better service. Was hoping to catch users on the forum that have been to other providers for there input.

I would suggest you obtain some Payg SIM cards from other networks from their online free sim request pages , Network Shoos or the £1 shops in the high street ,and try them for a few days where you live, commute and work to check that they give good signal. Do not rely on online coverage checkers.

As for Customer Service I find them all to be pretty much the same !
