Hi All,
I know I have read some posts on using 3rd party routers with the Gigafast fibre connection and the information needed, but my router seems to be requesting more information than normal so wondering if any one could assist or if I need to call Technical.
I have my PPPoE username and Password, and know that I need to put it on VLAN ID 911 for Milton Keynes, but my router also requests the following;
Access Concentrator: Enter the access concentrator associated with your ISP.
Service: Enter the service name associated with your ISP.
Host-Uniq Tag: Enter the host-unique tag related to the access concentrator and your ISP.
Not sure if these are generic details like the VLAN ID, or if they are specific to my account like the PPPoE details.
The router is a Cloud-Managed OpenMesh D200 (I'm a Managed Service Provider and testing this new product out on my devices first) Normally I leave those settings blank, and the PPPoE and VLAN work, but didnt seem to get a connection for gigafast so wondering if these are required for this type of connection.
Many Thanks
Liam

I face a similar issue having just had pro fibre broadband installed. The Vodafone tech-support refused flat out to discuss this in any way but fortunately I found this forum which has given me a few more hints!
I am not a business customer, but my router (ASUS AX-11000) doesn’t have a VLAN option for the WAN link. If I use a GbE switch to take VLAN 911 and present it on another switch port untagged, which I would then connect onto the ASUS WAN interface, would that work? Or does the Vodafone interface interrogate the Port for the MAC and S/No. (via host-uniq) in an attempt to force you into using the VF hardware?

You don't need to do this, your router does have the means to express VLAN 911 on the WAN port (if needed). You'll find that option in your router menus at:
LAN > IPTV > Select ISP Profile:manual > Internet VID:911

Ah - looking in the wrong place. A) overthinking the problem, and b) too familiar with Cisco/HPE kit!
All up and running. thanks!

I cannot find the settings for vlan on iptv anywhere.
broadband works from some devices but not others including the ASU’s app which shows disconnected
