Have Vodafone removed the Analytics function previously available in the Status & Support menu on the 'Vodafone WiFi Hub' broadband router?

Hey @rossboy1, not that I'm aware of. They shouldn't have been removed. Is there any updates you might need to do?

Yes - attached is a screen shot of the new Status & Support menu. The new section breaks down the link status in much more detail, separating DSL, Fibre and Mobile.

Also on this menu on the previous Huawei-manufactured Vodafone Wifi Hub was ANALYTICS. This proved to be a really valuable tool. Can it be put back please?

Have you recently had a new router due to an upgrade or an issue relating to your broadband @rossboy1? If so, this feature would no longer be available.

Yes I've recently received a replacement router owing to an issue with the previous Huawei device. I used to find the Analytics function very useful indeed. Can you explain why it has been removed?

We're always running updates to make things smoother and easier for our customers @rossboy1. Our new routers are improved to help with the service and you can still get information you may need when running a speed test through a wired connection. We also have our Vodafone Broadband app where you can see your sync speed result.

So, it has been removed and there is no plan to restore it?  Is that what you are saying?  My current BT hub has a device list including for each device an aggregate upload and download volume since the last time the hub was restarted.  It was invaluable in tracking down a hacked device on my network.  I am really going to miss that if it's not available on the Vodafone hub.

Hey there @AustinS - As Tash mentioned before we are always updating our routers and services and with that comes some changes to our hub and app. But you will still be able to see what devices are connected to your router through the Vodafone Broadband app 😊

Seeing what's connected is surely table-stakes for basic security and control of your home network.

Being able to see which devices are consuming all your bandwidth is pretty important too, so it's pretty disappointing / inexplicable that this feature has been removed.  I can see that all the graphical stuff in the former analytics support could place a lot of load on the box, but simply adding the size of each inbound and outbound packet to a tally as it goes through, and displaying that tally in the UI, isn't a massive thing.

How can I make a formal request for this basic function to be added?  Here's what it looks like in my BT router display, for example:

Hi @AustinS, I've spoken with one of our Technical specialists who've advised that the packets would show data flowing, rather than indicating something is hacking. Through our MAC filter in the GUI, under the Settings page for devices listed, you'll be able to block anything that may be 'hacking' from there.
