I recently moved onto the vodafone pro broadband and installed two of the boosters to replace the Deco mesh system which was setup as a wifi extender. On setting up the boosters I have found that my Ring doorbell will connect to the booster nearest to the doorbell but after a few days the ring doorbell disconnects from the booster to the main router. This results in a weak signal to the doorbell and thus the doorbell does not function properly. Can anyone let me know how I can ensure the doorbell permanently connects to the nearest booster rather than the main router.
I have now used the boosters for over two weeks and have found them to be a inferior product in comparison to the Deco system I had in place before.
I spoke to Vodafone on this and they changed the channels which helped for a few days but need a more permanent solution as starting to annoy me. Also the vodafone wifi experts don't seem to have a solution and refuse to give me another booster.

The only way to resolve the issue is to move my router closer to the ringdoor bell as boosters don't seem to provide the coverage for the doorbell. Can Vodafone arrange for the router to be moved to a room closer to the ringdoor bell.

Go back to using the mesh, it will be so much better than the boosters. Is there any reason you want to use the boosters?

they were given to me by vodafone when I moved onto vodafone pro but probably will go to mesh. I think I also need vodafone to move my router to another room.

Hi @Nas100, what broadband package are you on and why do you think the router needs moving? 🙂

I am on vodafone pro - 500g package. Yes I do think the router needs moving as it is at the far back room in the house

I struggled with this for ages, in fact since I switched to Vodafone broadband, 2 plus years. Contacted Ring and Vodafone, several times, neither were any use at all. I solved it by creating a guest account on my Vodafone broadband app and then connecting to that network, worked first time, plus the spare chimes which I had accumulated over the years as I thought the fault lay there has nicely fitted around the house and set up first time on the guest network. No issues so far, 1 week on.

I have the same problem trying to get it sorted is like banging your head against the wall I have a ring doorbell for according to Vodafone teach it only connects to 2.4 not 5 witch is wrong it will connect on to 5 but only on channels over 100 was on the phone for well over two hours today to get know where

The problem is by only having access to 5GHz channels over 100, you don't reliably have access to 5GHz thanks to DFS! And the only solution is either Dual Band on the SSID or just 2.4GHz.
