Eufy doorbell

I changed to Vodafone a while ago and when I switched I noticed my camera doorbell stopped working. I thought it might have been the ethernet cable as the one I had looked was a bit old. But, I now have a brand new cable and my doorbell still won't connect to the broadband. I've seen other posts on here that talk about changing the name of the broadband but that hasn't worked.

Any ideas? I am not very technically minded so please use simple language!!!

If you are using a Ethernet cable to connect to the doorbell don't worry about the name of the broadband (I assume you mean the SSID) as that will only be for Wi-Fi connected devices.

However it's unusual for a doorbell to be hard wired

I had to edit my previous post as I missed the fact you said it's an Eufy doorbell in the post heading.

Is there a specific model you have?

It's model number is T8210, 2k camera with a home base. It is the home base that is connected to the router.

Thanks.

Sometimes, when smart devices have been used on a previous ISP, it's best to factory reset them and start again. Is there an option to do that. and have you tried it?

When I try to do a factory reset, it says it cannot connect to the Internet!!

I'm now having problems with my sonos system as well but I suspect that is a sonos issue as their app has not been working properly for months! Having a techno nightmare!

How odd. I'm sure it wouldn't have been connected to the internet when it left the factory.
