IF YOU ARE USING A THIRD-PARTY ROUTER THAT WORKS 100% WITHOUT BUGS.PLEASE PM ME THE MAKE AND MODEL SO I CAN UPDATE THE LIST
The first thing you need to do is ask Vodafone for your username and password. live chat with Vodafone is best because you can copy and paste the name and password into the router. ( some users did write it down wrong. password is lower and upper case. username watch out for zero and o )

TP-Link Archer VR400 V3 AC1200 Wireless MU-MIMO Dual Band (1st Advanced tab, change the Operation Mode to Wireless Router Mode (the ONT is acting as a modem, hence it will not work if you are in DLS Modem Router Mode). 2nd Do not enable VLAN ID or it will not work! Vodafone will tell you to set it to 101, if you do this it will not work! Keep the default MTU size (1480), do not change it to 1492, as suggested in several posts in this thread, or it will not work!.

Yes mate, appreciate it, i have tried this before, and it still shows disconnected, and trying to connect 😭

Probably Vodafone have given you incorrect PPPoE details. Try asking on live chat, and copy and paste the details.

I was thinking the same, so contacted them 4 times, and they gave me each time same username and password, i have now 1 for fttc and 1 for fttp, 😓 i even asked them to get the static IP info, but they dont provide such information and tell me to contact my 3rd party router provider 😭 they can only give PPPoe login details 😓

What a silly potato i am, password letter was I not l 😭 all working now, thanks 👍

Hi all.
I have normal FTTC Vodafone. It's the fibre one package.
I've got a Draytek Vigor 2760 series and an Asus GT-AX11000 router gifted by a good friend. I'm trying to get it working via to replace my default voda router version 3 one (I think).
I've inputted my username and pass that I got via text. It's in the format as shown above and I also copied and pasted it to be safe. I've set the vlan to 101 and chose pppoe but to no avail.
The only thing I can find that might explain my failure possibly.. Is the 2nd agent (when I requested my user/pass again to be safe) told me that 3rd party routers do NOT work on SoGEA connections which she seemed to imply mine is. I was told when we moved in my line wouldn't have the traditional landline and would be plugged in is the router so that may confirm it.
Does anyone know if my efforts are fruitless so I don't spend more hours falling down this rabbit hole if someone has the answer already?
Kind regards

As @Samadielka77 has just proved, it's so easy to get characters wrong. Capital "O" and zero. Capital "I" and lower-case "l" or 1.
It's also possible you've been given the wrong details in the first place.
SoGEA or not, it should work - SoGEA is only relevant to the landline in this case. Sometimes a reboot of the modem can fix it.
