Initial contract cancelled by Vodafone without any reason being given. This resulted in me having to pay £52 to TalkTalk to cover additional internet provision. Turns out that City Fibre, who did the installation, don't deal with telephone lines, so the socket system around my home wouldn't work, as Vodafone use a socket in the router to provide a landline.

To say I am an unhappy customer would be polite. I have asked for compensation of £57.28 to cover the costs I've been forced to pay. Their representative today told me that they are not going to pay my costs.

So - if you are swapping ISP providers be warned that Vodafone are only too happy to leave you in the lurch.

It may be an idea to speak to Ofcom.

It's not just CityFibre, all FTTP services are the same. (and some FTTC also)

It is really easy to make/purchase an adapter cable to connect your routers phone socket to the internal phone wiring. Just make sure you disconnect the incoming phone line.
