MQTT messages blocked for MQTT Dash on phone

Hi,

I have been using MQTT Dash on my phone to monitor/control things for some time now, since moving to Vodafone home fiber broadband (12/6/23) my app no longer connects to the Cloudmqtt server, I get this error when trying the online WebUI page: -

"Could not connect to WebSocket server, most likely you're behind a firewall that doesn't allow outgoing connections to port 30388"

Does anyone know how I can configure the router  to allow this connection?

Thanks

@Gadjet  No worries, glad that you have got a result.

Unless I've missed something you've posted, all those IPv6 messages are never going anywhere on Vodafone!

I've no idea where they're coming from but the app started working earlier on this evening, go figure!

@CrimsonLiar Unless I'm mistaken, the DROP lines are IP4 going by the masking. Aren't the IP6 ones loopback?

ff02::  Addresses are multicast, it's very odd

I will see if I can get my username and password fron Vodafone and use my old router (Asus RT-AC1200) if it can be configured for Fibre use.

Are you on Full Fibre (FTTP) or just FTTC, as that router will need a separate modem to use it on FTTC.

I'm on full fibre with an ONL, doesn't the router just connect to that via the LAN port? It's all new to me 🙂

I just realised that I can't use it anyway as it doesn't have a phone port.

I wouldn't be using the RT-AC1200 router, it's seriously underpowered and it's also unsupported.
