Okay had no choice in the matter but I now have the all new android app, I'm sorry it isn't fit for purpose at all I think a bunch of monkeys could do a better job
The problems start at the app not recognising my wifi is active, it is green to.the router but states I have no WiFi active, yet I'm using the WiFi.
It goes downhill from there, nothing else works, I cannot access my account, broadband tools, see what devices are active on the network, actually nothing works at all, every lik just stalls the app.
It is to out it mildly a joke, I seriously doubt I will be able to access anything should I have any issues.
And that includes the backup dongle which i am paying fo as extra fornthebpleasure of that also didnt work when we had an outage over the weekend.
the fact that the service is running is the only good point so far and I have every faith in the broadband as it has been 99.9% flawless for the last year.
So what I want to know is why you have introduced this worthless app that doesn't work when the prevoius app was top notch.
The attached picture is what the app shows me, pathetic that iit's soon bad.

Personally I have never really used the app, it was only after the firmware changed the minimum requirements for the Wi-Fi password I gave it a go, as I had read on here it was less stringent via the app.
Yes, same here, I only use mobile app's when absolutely necessary, being old fashioned I prefer my desktop PC with dual VDU's, it's probably an age thing 😊
Xiaomi mobiles as you likely know use their own "enhanced" operating system, MIUI, currently running V.13 which is I believe is built on top of Android V.12, have never had any compatability issues with this, I'am on my second Xiaomi, probably soon my third.
All I can say for sure is, the Android BB app worked 3 weeks ago when I set my Wi-Fi PW it doesn't work now 🙄

Yes MIUI version 13.0.2 and Android 12 here.
I recently factory reset my router, and had problems connecting the Vodafone app at first. Can't quite remember what I did to cure it, probably deleted the app and reloaded it.

@Jayach
Reply posted as display has now opened.
Never had anything like this display available yet we are using the same hub, Android phone model and the same FW revisions as stated in later replies on this post?
This morning phone app was refusing to pair with the hub, repeatedly timed out.
Deleted and re-installed the app, now connected with the hub and permitted viewing & editing of Wi-Fi PW's but no display of connected devices.
After closing down & re-opening the app, back to square one, no Wi-Fi connection ☹️
Same for any subsequent attempted app opening.

It does seem strange, mine definately lets me view connected devices. (picture, as usual will take a while to be moderated)
This version of the app allows me to take screen shots, the previous one disabled the ability.

@Jayach
Apologies, my last reply was somewhat out of sequence, not yet fully familiar with the forum logistics as you probably guessed.
Your last snapshot is still awaiting moderation.
Indeed strange that the app appears to be fully functional for you especially considering that we are both using the same hardware.
From the opening posts on this thread I'am certainly not the only one having issues with V.5.0.3 of the app.
Why can I only get access, all be it with limited functionality on the first connection after installation, subsequent attempts reporting no Wi-Fi connection 🤔
Still not having any joy getting the app older program revision to run, just requests an update to the latest version, have tried various 3rd party "apk" file extraction/re-signing utilities without any joy.
From previous experience with VF support believe it would be a total waste of time to raise an issue there, just can't be bothered with the time and hassle likely to be involved ☹️

Installed Android capability on a Windows 11 PC using Windows "SubSystem" capability, not something I would do on my main Win 10 PC as it's quite intrusive and can be difficult to fully remove again.
However, neither the current or older version of the VF BB app would run, reported "rooting" detected and would not open, another wasted effort on my part 🙄
As mentioned before, I have only ever used the phone app to set "shorter" Wi-Fi passwords, should I require this facility again the only way it can be achieved (on my setup) is to delete the app, re-install, sign in and re-pair Wi-Fi where access to Wi-Fi settings (only) are available.
Subsequent entries into the app report no Wi-Fi connection and the complete delete/re-install process must be repeated to gain "one time only" access.
So, still baffled why the app is fully functional for "Jayach" on a very similar hardware setup?
Is the app (current version) actually working for anyone else?
Is there any way (I haven't already tried) to run the older app program revision which did work for me?

The current version of the ap is working on my Samsung phone - at the moment. But I don't hold much hope it will last for long. I have the new E6 router and it logged on to that, with full functionality, when it first upgraded. I could see all my connected devices etc. Then my router got reset and the ap lost its functionality, I restored my router using a previous configuration file - and the ap worked at about 50% use (it wouldn't show connected devices). I gave it a factory reset and also reloaded my saved configuration file and currently it's doing everything I want. I really cannot say what is going on - I have no explanation and it seems really hit and miss if its going yo work or not. Its a pain in the arme.

@DylanLabrador
Thanks for the input, much appreciated.
Yes, so many unexplained anomalies associated with the app, very frustrating, I've really spent too much time already messing about trying to find solutions.
OK on factory resetting your router, I'am reluctant to do that as I've already had a bad experience trying to reload a saved configuration, had pre-configured a lot of saved IP reservations before going live and the hub updated firmware on initial connection, saved config refused to load on the new FW, had to do it all again 🙄
For my very limited usage requirements of the app, only Wi-Fi PW setting as previously stated, will live with the current situation in the hope that VF IT tech department (if there is such a thing) will eventually get around to sorting things out, however, won't hold my breath on that one ☹️

Yep, it was pre saved ip addresses that was the cause of me saving and reloading the configuration file - plus other setup info . I fell foul of the this when I tried to reload the file from one E6 router onto a new E6 router. Guess the serial number of the router was cause of conflict. I totally agree with you and the idea of hanging fire until the next update - bearing in mind how poor the current rev is there must be an update soon (ish!)

Interesting as my router is totally vanilla, everything standard out of the box, the app wouldn't work after i factory reset it either and setting up the extender was a complete nightmare, took 10-12 attempts before and again factory resets to get it to connect and the app still doesn't work, I don't have any backups as like I said itsa a vanilla setup, no modifications or changes just the WiFi based kit setup....
