New Super Wi-Fi Alexa can’t set up

So my new broadband package arrived very quick and easy install. 
hiwever trying to set up my super Wi-Fi with built in Alexa through app tile and all I keep getting is “something unexpected has happened”

I’ve tried the Helpdesk but got

cut off in the chat and don’t have time to loose another hour of my life!

im hoping someone can help…

The usual thing seems to be that in their incompetence VF forget to push an update to the router which stops the extenders from working.

If the old joke fix of turning off the router and then turning it back on, along with telling the router to perform a firmware update from the router Web UI, then unfortunately there is no other solution other than wasting an hour or more speaking to a someone from support who hopefully has an IQ at least in double digits!

Having the same issue.

Tried installing and u installing the app, resetting booster and router that forced firmware update, swapped the booster… nothing works.

Some advisors at Vodafone accepted as an ongoing issue affecting some customers and said they were working on it but that was just a plain lie to get me off the chat… 6 months on same procedures are always asked to be performed and it still does not work with the “Something unexpected has happened.” and unable to set Alexa up.
