Received this text today, but broadband seems ok.... Any reason behind it, anyone had the same?

Hello. At Vodafone our engineers actively monitor the performance of your broadband service. We have identified conditions on your line that may be impacting the experience you are receiving. If you would like to report a problem with your broadband, you can do this through our new online support tool. This can be accessed by clicking on the following link https://www.vodafone.co.uk/broadbandservicetest

The link is genuine, so perhaps try following it.

OMG, I followed the link at the time, and it ran a test and said there is a problem in my area, and should be back by 5am.

What a load of rubbish I thought, I'm using the internet and steaming my music no problem.

Well, just after Midnight, everything stopped stopped, and although the connection is still up, there is no internet. Vodafone are presumably doing some work, but what a coincidence.

Some may say I broke it by running the test, but I've run the test many times before, without problem.

I'm having to type this whilst hot spotting to my phone.

Oh dear! That is weird! Coincidence? I ran the test and it said I've no problems.

I'm unsure what the ' we have identified conditions on your line that may be impacting the experience ' means?

And I'm back on Vodafone.

I've no idea either.

Now even the connection has gone down (blinking red internet light) looks like an early night for me.

I don't think I ever saw such a message from Vodafone while I was a customer, but we get plenty of them from BT.  On only one occasion have we actually had a loss of connection.

*One tip, if you receive any message with a link, if you hover over the link, you can check that the web address is the same as what you see.  If it's not the company involved, or you don't trust it, then don't follow it!
