Pausing my broadband

Hello,

I'm having building work done and I'm currently staying with my In-laws for the next 6 months, temporarily. I've spoken to 4 different teams through the chat window and even called customer services. I've been told the pausing my account is not possible so the only alternative is cancellation. Is this really so uncommon that this is the only option?

At the end of the day their argument will be that the contract is for a set period of time, no breaks.

You wanted cheap broadband. You should be able to argue a discount on the early termination fees.
