Anyone else had issues with their DD’s being taken by Vodafone? They are trying to say there was no DD instruction in place but my understanding was that Vodafone were responsible for submitting the instruction to the bank and if they have failed to do that in time/ correctly then the issue is with them not us. There was plenty of money in the bank account and I’ve never had any issues with DD’s before. Tried calling Vodafone and using the chat function but they are adamant it is our fault - not sure how it can be our fault. Vodafone have today confirmed the DD details held are correct and our bank have confirmed no issues. I’m really annoyed that we are being charged a late payment fee when we are not at fault - we weren’t even informed when the DD failed.

What does your bill say? Does it say they will take it by Direct Debit? I'm always careful with the first bill, and until I see the DD set up with my bank and payment taken.
