Sort of, it was free in that I didn’t have to pay anything up front. But my monthly bill went from 33 per month to 34 per month which is the new price for that broadband. It also restarted my 24 month contact term which given I was only 2 months in was not a big issue.

Oh okay thanks might give them a ring next week then to see my options
How's the experience been so far anyway, have you noticed any difference?

So far it’s much better, I have some device that support 6e so they are connecting at far higher speeds, file transfers between those and devices and my storage server with the 2.5gbit lan ports are great.
range is better so in the kitchen corner and far end of my en-suite I had bad signal on the old hardware I get great speeds now on the new boosters.
The best part is I had issues with the grey boosters where it would randomly refuse to let a certain device join the network, move to another room/booster and it would connect remove back it would be fine. But if you turn that device off it wouldn’t connect again. The only fix was to factory reset the old booster… the. It would work until it randomly did it with another device. I’ve had none of that on my new hardware.
