Hi... I am attempting to replace my THG3000 router with a Deco M5 mesh system, I looking to get better coverage and speed that the default router is providing.
I have acquired the username and password and added Vlan as 911 as advised but I am unable to connect to the internet.
Has anyone successfully done this and how?? Are there any additional inputs needed? I am pulling my hair out as I thought this should be relatively easy but it is proving otherwise.
Solved! Go to best answer.

If you are Gigafast then you need to use an ethernet cable from the WAN port of the router to the ONT/PON, cutting the VF router out of the equation entirely (you'll lose the phone line!) and depending on who provides the infrastructure you may or may not need to use VLAN 911.
It's also important that you have the correct service username and password, which username being in the format dslxxxxxxxxxx @broadband.vodafone.co.uk
*If you are on Superfast it would be VLAN 101, and you'll need a modem!
