Some websites not loading

I noticed in the last few days that eurocarparts.com would not load on home broadband regardless of device used. Broadband is otherwise fine.

I thought the website was down but switching to mobile data it loads.

Is it a Vodafone issue?

Do other Vodafone customers see the same behaviour?

Loads ok for me but I don’t use the default Vodafone DNS server.  That your mobile phone connects but not your router, it may be worth changing to one of the better free public DNS servers.

Popular Primary & (Secondary) DNS servers are:

  • Google = Primary 8.8.8.8 / (8.8.4.4)
  • Cloudflare = 1.1.1.1 / (1.0.0.1)

There are others, take a look here or just google 'public DNS servers'.

This thread from a couple of years ago covers the 'how to' in post #1 if you need it

Thanks for your reply.

As other users didn't have the same issue I thought I would try some kind of reset on my end first. I went into the router settings and forced DSL to reconnect (menu > status and support > reconnect ). Oddly that seems to have fixed it. The DNS addresses didn't appear to change having done that but I'm happy it's solved.

I'll bear the DNS settings in mind if I get issues like this in future though.

Thank you
