Synology rt2600ac - Vodafone gigafast

Hi,

i recently got Vodafone's Gigafast installed. Speeds seem great!

However, I would like to use my Synology RT2600ac router, instead of the Vodafone supplied one.

i have contacted support and was supplied with a username and password.

For the life of me I cannot get the Synology router to connect. I noticed elsewhere that the vlan had to be changed to 911. But still no success.

Has anyone had any luck with getting one of these up and running?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey @Drew474, thanks for getting in touch; it's great to hear you're loving your Broadband speeds. I've double checked and you can use that router with our Gigafast service, so it's strange you're not able to connect.

I'd pop back to our Live Chat team and check the username and password you've been given, as it can be tricky sometimes; figuring out the exact letters and if they're in higher or lower case.

Once you have your PPPoE login from vodafone the one other detail you need us your supplier. If your download/upload are similar you need to set a VLAN ID (802.11Q) of 911, otherwise it'll be openreach and you need to disable vlan
