UltraHub with Mobile backup - should mobile be offline?

I have an UltraHub with the mobile backup but when I look at the "Mobile Status", It shows that there is signal etc  but it shows as disconnected. Is this normal? I would expect that even when not being used that the mobile system would always remain connected otherwise how do you spot a problem.

@Rob_Quads  I believe that it is meant to be "off" and connects when there's a line drop. You can always test by pulling out the lead from the WAN socket. Any issues should be in the router logs.

Really - wow so the first time it will know whether it will work (unless you actively test it)  is the one scenario where you're relying on it, sounds like a pretty poor implementation IMO

@Rob_Quads It's not a high-tech router and for most customers it does the job, but once either the user wants to do something more specific or there's an issue, well that's when it's shortcomings show themselves.

Constantly connected G4/5 is effectively like having two broadband accounts and the router's fail-over is fairly basic.
