VOIP on a second hand Vodafone router

Hi there, I'm trying to reuse the Vodafone pro 2 router thst my son has given to me. He's not using it so I might aswell use it on my Vodafone broadand to create a mesh. My question is when plugging in his router to my Vodafone broadand ONT, my voip profile and number don't seem to pull through, it seems I end up with his land-line number. Is there a way to reset the VOIP profile so that my landline pulls through and I can use the router.?

Vodafone routers are bound to the account they were supplied for. You'd have to contact vodafone and see if they'll provision the router to your account. I don't hold out much hope, but you never know..........

Yes I'd assumed they'd be assigned via the serial number. I wondered if anyone on here had managed to do similar
