Thanks very much. Call back booked, I wait with bated breath . . . .
Hey @Ossify, thanks for letting us know. Please keep us updated on the outcome.
Please can you send me Broadband/Router specialist contact details too? I am having issues connecting a work laptop on Cisco VPN with disconnects every 30s, whilst my housemates work vpn (non Cisco) is fine.
Thanks
Our Broadband team can help with this @alexgregory85. Please send us your details via the private message I've sent across for you.
Alex, could I have these contact details as I am trying to connect with VPN and feel this may be the same issue the others above have been experiencing.
@DYADAV If you're looking for the contact details of our team, then please check the private message I've sent you.
Please could you also put me in touch with your Broadband specialists to help me get an L2TP or SSL VPN set up on one of your routers? Thanks
Of course @OE_Horizon, one of our Broadband Specialists will be happy to help in any way they can. I've sent you a private message so you can get in touch with us directly.
Could you please help me get an L2TP or SSL VPN working on your Router? Thanks
Hi,
I have also just moved to Vodafone broadband and am having trouble accessing VPN. The technical team said it is impossible, which contradicts what is said in this thread. Would you be able to let me have the details of the router specialist team, please?
Hi Mark,
I went through the steps advised in your private message and raised a query with the reference code you provided.
Your support team came back to me saying that they can not help with setting VPNs as they do not support it as a provider.
Is this really the case? If so, why refer us to raising a ticket privately if the answer if enivitably going to be that you can't do it?
Fabien
So VPN is not supported or was the helpdesk not able to help?
I urgently need a VPN as I am self employed and need access to my files on the go.
Currently my NAS is runnung 24/7 which is not a viable solution.
Need to cancel my contract then and try another provider
@jpope Hi there, although we can't support a VPN as it's not a service that we are providing. The router itself should be able to handle this as a connection. What is it that happens when you try to connect to your VPN?
Joe
@carp3di3m Hi there, I'll say the same as I said to @jpope although we can't support a VPN as it's not a service that we are providing. The router itself should be able to handle this as a connection. What is it that happens when you try to connect to your VPN?
Joe
Please also put me in touch with your Broadband team.
Just a suggestion... could one of your Broadband team post the solution to this into this forum so that many users could resolve their own issues rather than having to go through the support hoops ?
did you understand the question we are asking?
Quote:
although we can't support a VPN as it's not a service that we are providing. -> Yes it is an option in the Vodafone router settings
The router itself should be able to handle this as a connection. What is it that happens when you try to connect to your VPN? -> we are trying to connect to the Vodafone router, but it does support the conection.
We are all trying to setup the VPN directly in the settings of the Vodafone provided router.
There is an option to configure a VPN server so that we can connect to the Router and then through the VPN get into our home network.
Does Vodafone not support this?
As we need to request personal details from you to arrange for one of our Broadband Specialists to contact you @Coverdale regarding your VPN issue, please get in touch by following the instructions in this private message.
Could you please help me get an L2TP or SSL VPN working on your Router? Thanks
Could I please be contaced per private message, too?
I have been waiting now since last year.
So after speaking to Vodafone support .... again ... Vodafone advised me to go out and buy a router and then take their router out of my network. Awesome. Kind of feels like having to pay again for something that is freely included in everyone elses offering.
I am now counting down the days to rid myself of this company. I have been constantly underwhelmed by the entire experience.
