I've just moved broadband provider to Vodafone and installed the router,
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to read the NAS (WD MyBook Live), linked through the LAN ethernet cable, which i use to access files on my home computers.
I had no problems with my previous BT router. I've chekced that the NAS definitely still works by plugging it direct into the computer.
i called Vodafone customer support but they were unable to help and advised me to look here.
Does anyone know how to deal with this? I had a look in the router settings but couldn't seem to find anything.
If I don't get it resolved, I will cancel the Vodafone contract because I'm still in the trial period, but I'd rather not.
Thanks

.@GlynWilliams Excuse me if I have missed something.
Can you confirm that the Sonos devices have connected to the router over WiFi please? I am wondering if it's the channel 12/13 problem on the 2.4GHz band.

All my sonos devices have been connected via the 2g network. Although I tend to, as with the bt router, connect my sonos system through the sonos bridge and so the sonos network as I have speakers in parts of the house were the wifi is on a separate booster rather than meshed.

This is what i can see when looking at my network through windows.
But when i try and browse for the drive in sonos, this is all i get
Both the vodafone hub and the drive attached to it are not present and can't be found.

and this is what is visible on the router
as you can see the nas drive is present (portable USB hard drive) and all of my sonos products

Your latest images haven't been moderated yet.
You say this is a NAS drive, but you are connecting it via USB?
If so, try changing vodafone.broadband in the path of the USB share to the IP of the router. i.e. 192.168.1.1

NAS (network attached storage). This is a USB hard drive attached to the network and as such is what sonos uses. As I say its been attached to my old bt router and sonos since 2010ish. But now does not work with my new Vodafone router

NAS drives are Network Attached Storage, and as such should be connected into the network to operate independently. Attaching it to a router via USB defeats the NAS designation, and expecting any router to serve files reliably is foolhardy. Use it the way it's intended. The usb on WD mybook NASs is there for connecting directly to a pc for file recovery - if there's any files left. Good luck with that.
Read the manual.

This device you are calling a NAS, what exactly is it? It sounds like it is just a USB hard drive.
I don't know the Sonos devices, but they all presumably work via the Sonos hub, so it is the nub you need to connect to the USB share. As the Sonos is a music type device it will probably be using DNLA to connect to the music library. There shouldn't really be much setting up for that to work, just make sure it is enabled on the Vodafone router.
If however the Sonos hub is using SMB (Samba) to access the music library, it will need to know the address of the disk, so use the path you had before, but with 102.168.1.1 instead of vodafone.broadband in the path. Other network protocols are not supported.
The other possibility is it could maybe use a drive letter to access the library, as you can see in my earlier picture I have my USB drive share shown as a network location and a drive letter.

As I said at the beginning. My USB hard attached to the USB of my bt router worked fine as a NAS drive for sonos music library. It has only become a problem since changing the router

There really is no obvious reason I can think of why it will not work with the Vodafone router.
Constantly telling us it worked with BT, won't get it working.
