What is the maximum wired LAN speed supported by my Wifi Hub?

I have this router:

https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2019/08/isp-vodafone-uk-launch-unlimited-5g-and-fixed-broadban...

I am wanting to set up wired streaming between PCs for multi room connectivity (main PC to lounge, both connected through the router).

Both PCs will support 2.5 Gbit LAN, but I am unsure if this router will support 2.5 Gbit or if it is only 1 Gbit.

If its only 1 Gbit which I suspect, then I will need to buy a gaming brand router such as Asus that supports 2.5 Gbit.

Yes the THG3000 is "only" 1Gigabit (never thought I'd say that). If you get a replacement router then you will need your internet username and password from Vodafone. The easiest way to get that is via Live Chat. https://www.vodafone.co.uk/bbservcd/

If your happy with the Vodafone router, other than the Lan speed, have you thought of using an external switch?

You haven't said if you are on FTTC or FTTP. If FTTP you will. at present, lose the VoIP phone if you don't use their router.

Internal networking means that packets are (usually) routed via the shortest route.  Because of this, you could add a small 2.5Gb/s or 10Gb/s network switch to the router.  Doing that, although the router with it's 1Gb/s ports would still "be in charge" if the two clients are both connected to the switch, then they would be able to speak to each other at pretty much maximum speeds!

To need that kind of through put I'd have to guess that you will be running a server and be performing video production or similar!

I'd probably suggest that this forum is the wrong forum and somewhere such as www.snbforums.com would be way more help.

That's what I was trying to say.

But you put it much better.😀

No not a server, just 4K remote play.
