What third party routers can you use on Vodafone FTTP?

I am interested in replacing Vodafone's provided THG3000 router with an alternative due to lack of features (e.g., WiFi 6), and lack of configurability. (I am not looking to replace the ONT box, just the router.) Vodafone's information is that you can't use a third party router with Pro Broadband plans or Digital Voice, and I'm fine with that. However, they also say that any router should be approved by Openreach, but I can't find an up to date list of approved routers and I'm now wondering if this requirement is out of date or if it still applies.

My guess is that any router purchased from a reliable retailer in the UK will have been approved by the regulatory authorities for use in the UK and connection to UK broadband infrastructure. I have had success with tp-link routers, others on here have used ASUS and Netgear. You will have to ask Vodafone customer support for your username and password. These two things are all you need for Openreach, do not set a VLAN. Landline telephones do not appear to be supported by Vodafone on 3rd party routers.

Vodafone don't support it, but with a little work and a lot of luck Vodafone's digital voice service can be got working on an ATA or a voip phone.
