Will the Super WiFi Booster work with a 3rd party router

I have a Asus RT-AC82U router and unsure if the provided Super WiFi Booster from Vodafone will be compatible with a 3rd party router.

It's in my mind that these extenders super wifi boosters are are set up exclusively via the Vodafone App which will only work when it is paired with the VF router…

 

… No VF router = No VF app = No extender super wifi booster (extender by any other name😀)

 

All of that may be imagined bulls hit on my part of course as I don't have a VF extender but I'll be interested to see other comments yay or nay.

It is not correct that the booster is set up exclusively via the Vodafone app - they can be paired using WPS.  However, I don't have an answer to Israr_07's question - but I'd like to know if anyone has an answer?
