Hi when i signed up was told no upfront fee... i have now gone live and my bill for august should be £22.00 but it says £44.00 including out-of-plan-charges?
what out of plan charges? what is this?

This sounds like pro rata charges @KinJO187 , when you start a new agreement, Vodafone charge in advance, this means you will be charged up to your billing date, plus one full month in advance.
This is just a billing estimation when you receive the first bill, check the dates you have been billed, it looks like you have two months charges there.
edited to add: At the moment these will be unbilled charges, when you receive the bill and have something to go on if still unclear you will be able to contact Vodafone for an explanation.

Sounds a bit "fishy". Call them and ask them to explain it. I certainly don't remember getting charged for 2 months at the beginning. Is that an actual bill or an estimate?

July
28 Jul - 30 JulPayment will be collected on 09 Aug
Total£22.00and again on the 29thAugust
To be created on 29 AugBill will be created on 29 Aug
Estimated total£22.00so i am paying 2 months bill on one month? do i get a free month at the end?
The second payment is created on the 29th August, but will probably be taken about the the 09th of September.
My bills are produced on the 17th of the month, but taken 10 days later on the 27th. (give or take a day or two)
So basically you pay in advance, which means your last payment is approx. a month before your contract ends.
Use that last month to negotiate a new deal with Vodafone or choose a new supplier.
