4g vs 3g Speeds

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone else has issues with 4g where they live?

On 2 devices on 2 different sim cards I get speed test results around 4mbps on 4G but when I switch to 3G I get around 25mbps. Why is the 4g so slow in my area?

I ran speed tests on my friends EE 4g device and he gets 60+ mbps.

Seems like theres something fishy going in with our net work up here in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis.

I would suggest to input your postcode into the network/status-checker  to see if an issue exists and to check what service is expected in your postcoded area.

Also Vodafone has a template to use which involves copy and pasting it back here with your answers so this can be looked at.

Thank but I'm 100% sure its not a network or device issue. I have tested on multiple devices over the last few issues and it still continues. The only think I can think of is that the 4g network is overloaded and the 3g network is barely being used.

Ok @RobotBoy

This is the only way I'm aware of for the Vodafone Social Media Teams here to collate enough info to go to the networking Teams and then hopefully report.their findings to you.

I wish you all the best with this situation.
