Hi,
As per my title, can I convert a payg sim to a payg esim?

Unfortunately not at this time @thealiendad 😔 however it will be a good positive move when Vodafone do allow this. 🤔
I can't see a reason why the account type in this scenario would hinder this move from a physical sim to an eSim.
Keep an eye on the Vodafone Support pages and on here.
If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care. 😎

thanks for both answers,
I had done a search for my question before posting but as the oldest showed first but foundI hadn't noticed there were more recent answers than from 2020. 😉
My only reason for going for a payg sim instead of a contract is to test the signal received for a month or two compared with a current Sky sim.
The phone can work with one sim and one esim but unfortunately Sky don't offer an esim at all, so if the Vodafone sim is found to be suitable I will be getting a contact sim instead of a payg sim.
