Can I put money on someone elses phone?

Am I able to put credit on someone else's phone?

I ask because my elderly mother usually uses her bank card to put money on, but it's not working right now, probably some kind of security lock. Of course we need to sort the bank card, but in the meantime is there a way I can finance her sim? She's not on the same plan as me, it's totally separate.
