When a call is made it is logged against the IMEI number of the phone and there would be no doubt the call would have originated from that phone.
Unless this was a premium rate number, it would have been covered by the daily or monthly allowance.
You also have to consider if anyone used your phone.

you are not alone! Three times in the last 12 months I have been charged when my phone has not been used. Last time I received the message about "unlimited texts/calls etc" at 11.50pm whilst I was in bed, the phone on my bedside table untouched. The next morning I checked the usage to see a text message recorded on my account at that time, which I definitely had not sent and there was no record on my phone. I reported this as a FRAUD but no action was taken except to block my account by changing the user name and removing my email address so I can no longer check the account. Then this a.m at 07.57, again when I am just waking up I get the message from Vodafone again and £1 deducted from my balance. Mobile data has always been switched off. Will be asking for a PAC code shortly to move elsewhere
