Do I need credit to receive calls

I have switched from monthly contract to PAYG as i live in Spain, it was switched over today and now I cannot receive calls, it comes up as network busy on callers phone. I can receive SMS okay. Do I need credit to receive calls.

Hi @willie5094 

 

The most likely reason would be due to the  SIM not  being activated as PAYG in the UK., roaming is also only intended for short periodic travel and not long term use, this is something Vodafone are explicit about on the Terms and Conditions. 

 

When on PAYG you would need to keep the SIM active by way of topping up or chargeable activity.

Sorted.... I looked at access point names in settings and it was set to my Spanish carrier, I changed it to Vodafone and now managed to receive calls. Thanks for your help.
