I got a BVB, however, I am still being charged 6p out of my balance for every text to a French number. I am in the UK. Is this supposed to happen or should texts to the EU numbers come out of my text allowance?
Texting abroad to an overseas number is chargeable, if you are texting a French number as you rightly mention it willl cost 6p per message. Please see here: Calling and texting abroad from the UK
The exception would be texting a UK mobile number abroad when it would be covered.
