I need to recover my phone number

I need to recover my phone number which has been disconnected since June 2023. The number is essential for my personal Life and professional. Which are the Steps that I have to follow ?

You can certainly try calling the number.

Vodafone do make it clear you need to keep the SIM activate and would need to make a chargeable activity during a 180 day period to avoid disconnection, on top of that they would have given an additional 90 days before the SIM was disconnected from the network.  Vodafone would have sent a reminder text urging you to take some action by topping up or making a chargeable connection to avoid final disconnection.

If the number has been disconnected since June 2023, you have no chance of getting the number back, it's long gone and may have been been reissued to another person or even ported out to an alternative network.  .

It is a Ofcom ruling that all PAYG SIM's have to be in use, and networks have to disconnect the number where it has been out of use.

I still having the SIM card and WhatsApp on the number. It has not been sent yet to nobody.

Yes, sadly life does bring such trials… but I’m grateful to be alive and healthy. The hardest part was watching the numbers tied to my business—and the vital connections I’d spent years cultivating in an industry I’d poured my heart into—slip away from me, little by little.
