I want to port my Vodafone 'Pay as you go' number to Vodafone contract I bought from a third party.

Hello,

I have a pay as you go line with Vodafone. I also recently bought another 'sim & phone' deal with Vodafone as the network, however the deal was brought from a third party provider (mobile.co.uk), and not Vodafone directly. Is it possible to transfer my Vodafone 'pay as you go' number to my new Vodafone contract phone?

Thanks for all your help in advance,

Selda

Hi @selda_85

That will be very simple to do, simply follow this link: How can I keep my mobile phone number?

I want to move from PAYG to pay monthly. and complete this form: Keep your PAYG number

Hi AnnS,

Thank you for the link - but that there is no information provided about my situation on there. My situation is a bit more complicated. I have joined Vodafone from a different provider (contract), but already have a Vodafone Pay as you line. I cannot find a way to keep my current Vodafone number, by porting it over to take over my other Vodafone contract number.

There is an alternative solution where I would have to port my pay as you go number to a different network temporarily, and then port it back. But I was just wondering if there is any way to just port it directly?

In that case @63johnw was correct in his reply before editing.

If you wish to keep the contract number, port it out to any other network on PAYG and back in by following the first link.  You can get the PAC code by texting PAC with your dob to 65075 from here: Cancel Account

It would be worth mentioning that number don't port over a weekend on any network and this won't get actioned until Monday but the old contract number should be on Vodafone by Wednesday.

edited.  It is a little unclear, if you are wanting to transfer the Vodafone PAYG number to the new contract, the information is still correct in my previous reply.

Thank you AnnS,

Do you know how long I need to stay with the other network before I can move my number back to Vodafone? I read that it was previously 90 days. Is this still the case?

Thank you,

Selda

Just to address the above AnnS - I currently have 2 Vodafone lines. One is a 'pay as you go' one bought from Vodafone directly. The second is a Vodafone 'sim and phone' plan I brought from a third party provider (mobile.co.uk). I want to move my Vodafone 'pay as you go' number to my new Vodafone contract number (bought from another provider, not Vodafone). Your previous link does not cover this scenario.

Hi all! As both numbers are on the Vodafone system, you'll be able to use the Pay As You Go to Pay Monthly Keep My Number form. This will disconnect your old Pay As you Go line and move the number onto your new Pay Monthly Vodafone line without you needing to move to another network in the meantime.
