Transfer contract to different person

Hello,

I am currently on a 24-month Vodafone contract, but as I’m leaving the country, I can no longer use it. I’d like to transfer the account ownership to a friend. Would this require canceling my contract, paying the termination fees, and having them purchase a new plan? Or can my friend continue using the existing 24-month plan without needing to buy a different one and just my account and contract ownership will be transferred to my friend?

Follow the information here Transfer Account It's only the airtime you can change ownership.  If you are on an Evo contract, with a phone being a credit agreement and in your name, you would need to pay anything still owing,

The new owner takes over what remains of the airtime contract, opens an account in the new name. Vodafone will complete an identity and credit check on the new owner.  When completed you will receive confirmation that you have on further responsibility towards the airtime contract.

Thank you for your quick response!

I currently have a 24-month Unlimited Max contract for £18 per month. If I transfer it to my friend tomorrow, will they take over the payments starting next month, and I'll be responsible only for current month’s bill? Also, once the contract is transferred, can they continue using it until it ends, with no further payments required from me?
