My partner and I are disgusted with Vodafone. They disconnected our numbers even though we had used our phones well within the time-limit before you lose your number. We lost the credit which was in the phones. Vodafone has also constantly kept charging us £1 when we have not used our phones. We eventually had enough when they took our numbers away from us. As our phones are unlocked, we switched to EE, where you have the option to have standard pay as you go without having to have packs or add ons. Vodafone is the worst mobile company ever. I also have a phone which has an 02 SIM card, and I have never had any problem with 02. Just carry on robbing your customers, Vodafone. They'll soon switch networks. I would never have anything to do with Vodafone again! Total disgrace as a company. Good riddance to their SIM cards!

I remember that a short while ago we were seeing posts on the forum from PAYG1 Customers saying that £1 had been taken from their Account Credit without justification, and as such Vodafone were refunding the amount if an eomrror had occurred @divo19
I rhino it was some form of system glitch but I thought that had been resolved.
As for Vodafone terminating a Payg account they should only do this if no activity had taken place on the account.
A Payg account can be deactivated if no activity such as calls , texts , data usage or top up hasn't been made within a 180 day period.
The timeframe breaks down like this …
If a person does not make an activity as described above in 90 consecutive days then Vodafone make contact via sms to advise. Then if after 45 days no usage is made they send a final notification and then give another 45 days to make some activity.
Then the Payg account could be suspended and the number and account credit lost.
The mobile number is typically quarantined for a length of time and then put back into the number pool to be redistributed to another person.
If a Payg account is suspended then a person has 90 days to ask Vodafone to re activate the Payg account via 0333 304191, 191 from a Vodafone phone or via the Vodafone Social Media Team's.
It's a shame this has concluded in you moving networks and as such i wish you all the best.

Thanks very much for reply. We both received a text, saying that we had to use our phones within the next 30 days. We sent each other a text immediately. We received no further texts from Vodafone. Approximately 30 days after this, it came up on our phones 'INVALID SIM'. This happened with 3 phones and Vodafone continued to charge us £1 when we had not used our phones. These are spare phones which we have. We decided that enough was enough, threw the SIM cards away and bought EE SIM cards. I would have nothing more to do with Vodafone.
