'Phone not used for a long time, now Unregistered SIM message.

I have an old C261 that lives in the car and is for emergency use. Last time I charged it the top of the screen showed "Unregistered SIM" and the 'phone no no longer works. It is a PAYG unit and has money in credit. Is it possible to get it reinstated with the original number and if so , how ?

Providing it has been no longer than180 days since you last topped up or made a chargeable connection you shouldn't have a problem.  Unfortunately, any longer, the SIM would have been disconnected for non use and you will have lost any credit.

Thanks for the information, unfortunately I don't recall using it in the last 6 months but I suppose I can give Vodafone a  call and find out, nothing to lose.
