my mum had an asda phone sim that was changed by them to a vodaphone sim, and she kept her number, this took a great deal of messing around to do.
The question is does she top up her phone with her asda card that came with her original sim and has the same number on, or top up with the vodaphone card that came with the new sim that has a different number on to the one she has now? hope this makes sense

Hi @phil29
EE used to be the MVNO Asda provider and this changed to Vodafone just over a year ago.
As far as the number is concerned, if your Mother has kept her number and it is still active on the network it will be for the number your Mother is using.
@phil29 I have found this information from ASDA, this will explain how to transfer your Mothers previous number to the new SIM card she has received.

Hi @phil29
The adsa card is no longer of use.
A Vodafone Payg sim can only be topped up via voucher or via the myvodafone app and online.
Full details are in How-can-I-top-up-my-phone.

Hi @phil29
Ignore the information for Vodafone top up in my first reply it is incorrect, your Mother is using ASDA Mobile and will need to follow this link : ASDA Mobile Top Up
edited to add: For any enquiries regarding the transfer of number to the new ASDA SIM or top up you will need to contact ASDA Mobile direct, the numbers are: 08080062732 long dial from any other phone or 2732 from ASDA mobile handset.
