A useful option, but not possible. The only thing to do is turn on the feature when you need it.
There are apps available that save you going through the divert menus where you can toggle call forwarding directly from the home screen.

Thanks for the reply. That’s a shame, would have thought lots of customers would want this? Would be nice to get some peace after 5pm. Maybe it’s available with a business account?

If you have an iPhone, you can set up focus to kick in at a certain time which will reject incoming calls which in turn will send them to voicemail.
I'm sure other smartphones have similar features also (or a timed 'do not disturb' function) that will in turn have the same effect.

Android has a timed DND feature that will silence all notifications. You can allow calls and texts from people in your contacts, though, as far as I'm aware.

Thanks, I should have mentioned I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro and am in the process of upgrading to a 13 pro
